Today I had the opportunity to go Tailgating at the Franklin Pierce University with Lisa and her Host family, where I also found out what tailgating was… :Americans driving to a football game and then barbecuing in the parking lot while watching it. And no I’m ot joking ,typically people open their trunk and lay out the food in there but today most of them rented tents and had tables. Honestly It wasn’t actually that much about watching the game, and more about chatting eating delicious food and sometimes cheering because the team scored. Afterwards Mrs Swasey Lisa’s host mom showed us around the campus.
After the game we went to spirits of Halloween which is a very famous and big Halloween shop here.
To end the day almost all of the Austrians and their hosts gathered at the pumpkin carving party. After carving was done some of us played deathball outside (someone throws a ball and the others try to get it), others sat at the campfire, had pizza, watched a movie, shotgunned soda or simply just had a chat.
