Goodbye, we're going to Boston!

1.11.2022 - our last day in Peterborough and the beginning of the end of our trip. The bus to Boston picked us up at the school where we said our final goodbyes to our dear hosts. (Our morning started off quite emotionally.)

An hour and a half later we got to our hotel. We had some time to settle in but since we only got to see the city for one day we started walking right away. We got something to eat at a mall and walked around, seeing parks, statues, and the variety of architectural styles Boston has to offer.

Afterward, we got the chance to go up to the 26th floor of the clock tower. There we were able to see the sea, the airport, and the skyscrapers: Boston was at our feet.

We then walked to Little Italy and many of us got some cannoli - They were amazing, and definitely something I'd recommend.

Then we visited the holocaust memorial, which was really beautiful but seeing the quotes of the survivors is so distressing and extremely sad.

At dinnertime, we went to "Quincy Market", which had basically every type of food, there was something there for everyone.

On our way back to the hotel we passed by Chinatown. It was quite interesting to see how they had set it up in Boston.

We got to the hotel exhausted but with knowledge about a city that had been unknown to most of us until today.
