Trip to Salem and Football Game

This morning I had the chance to sleep in because guess what - we were going on a field trip to Salem! It was a 1.30h drive and there wasn’t any traffic so we got there in time for our activities.

First, we visited this “interesting”, some might even call it weird, Museum that gave us a 360 presentation on the witch trials. Working with statues, lights, and voices definitely made it a unique experience.  In that same Museum, we then had a short tour that went a little more into detail about these trials in Salem.

Afterward, we went on a walk around the town where a tour guide showed us some of the famous sites, including the Houdini alley, the memorial for the innocent people accused of being witches and many more.

At the end of the tour, we still had about an hour to just walk around and go into some of the stores we wanted to visit.

There were also many people in costumes walking around the street. Some you could take pictures with but most of them were just random tourists that had dressed up as witches or creepy movie characters.

When we got back to Peterborough at around 6:45 we went straight to our first American football game. It was freezing and the team lost by a lot, but that was expected since we had been told that the team was not so great. Nevertheless we had a lot of fun seeing the school spirit of ConVal.

It was a great day filled with activities and even though I’m now tired from walking around it’s definitely
been a day I will never forget.
