Off to New York City!

Nov 2, 2022

Beautiful sunrise in Boston!

Breakfast with Lea, Franziska, Mrs. Landa and Mr. Baier!

So, for breakfast we all had these Breakfast-to-go vouchers but the hotel wasn't really prepared for a group as large as ours... there wasn't really much that they could give us. Most of us just got coffee or tea and maybe a banana...in addition to that some of us went over to the 7-ELEVEN to get some snacks for our 5-hour long bus ride.

In the hotel lobby getting ready to leave Boston!

All of the suitcases are ready to be loaded onto the bus!

A very mysterious and sketchy looking bus… as long as it gets us to New York City, right? :)

One World Trade Center!!!

Here are some of the many pictures I took at the One World Trade Center!
The view was absolutely amazing and I'm so glad that our teachers were able to get us access to it!
First, going up in the elevator was awesome -- it shows you what the One World Trade Center looked like over the last 500 years! The elevator ride only took about 50 seconds but it was incredible!

Once we got to the top, there was a little preview of what we were going to see...and afterward we spent about two hours taking pictures, enjoying the view, noticing how the sky changed as the sun set... honestly there are no words to describe what we saw. The only thing that comes to mind: BREATHTAKING

9/11 Memorial and The Westfield World Trade Center

Later, we took a minute to look at the 9/11 Memorial and then we went inside The Westfield World Trade Center which is this huge mall! Some of us stayed there, others went to go look for food. Johanna, Lisa, Charlotte, Marlene and I found our way to Wendy's and it actually wasn't that bad.

The last thing that we did today was go on a ferry and the view was pretty amazing! It was a little stressful because there were so many people and we didn't want to lose anyone in our group but all in all, it was a great way to end the day.
